About

Matt Sikora is a blogger and memoirist who writes about parenthood, marriage, and family dynamics. In his most recent manuscript, Incurable Bloom,  Sikora retells his struggle to care for his terminally ill wife, whose denial forces him to investigate the unspoken rules of their lop-sided marriage, where he finds a secret that sends the pieces of his shattered family hurtling toward a future he never could have imagined.

Matt's Story

After graduating from Albright College in 1996, Matt moved to Mexico to work full-time as an English professor at La Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. A year later he moved back to the suburbs of Philadelphia and got a job teaching Spanish in the public schools. When his first son Max was born in 2006, he quit teaching to care of him. He was at home with Max and his younger brother Frankie for 11 years when their mother was diagnosed with brain cancer. Matt was her primary caregiver for almost three years, until she passed away in November of 2020.

Matt recently remarried, and he currently lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with his new wife,  author Violet Kupersmith, his kids, Max and Frankie, and a new baby girl, Minna.
